What Around stores
Your display name and your email address. The activities you post, the circles you belong to, and which posts you have said you are in for.
Why
Your email is used only to send you a sign-in code. It is never used for marketing and is never shown to anyone else — other people in your circles see only your display name.
How long
Posts are deleted automatically about a day after the date they were for, and undated posts after a month. Everything else is kept until you delete your account.
Deleting your account
Settings → Delete my account. This removes your account, your posts, your circles and your email address immediately and permanently. There is no undo and no backup copy you can ask us to restore.
Who else processes your data
Around runs on Railway, which hosts the application and its database. Sign-in codes are sent through Auth0. Both act as processors on our behalf.
